The backgrounder below tells the CHILL story pretty well. It has a lot of the same info that is on the website, but in one place.

The characteristics of the towel are on the front and the way people use the towel is on the back. It actually is a pretty clever product. It does get cold!

We use the Thailand (where our product management and factory is) division of TUV Rhineland, Germany, world renowned testing company, to do our product testing, they do testing on products in SE Asia like Coke. When the towel is opened and shaken (to activate the formula), the towel temperature, as measured with a calibrated thermometer, measure about 30 degrees below body temperature. And continues to be at least 20 degrees colder than body temperature (when re shaken to reactivate the cooling formula) for multiple uses (4 to 8 times), over multiple hours (3 to 8), depending on the use, the temperature, the humidity and how it is stored.

We are now manufacturing the towels in a ziplock/resealable package (in production right how on the 10 x 10 menopause towel & 12 x 12 small towel, with a shipment in a container on its way to the US), so the towel can be used over multiple days (2 to 4 days) when returned to the ziplock/resealable package (which helps keeps the moisture, drying out is the biggest enemy of the towels life expectancy).

There are three popular sizes in the market today, the small 12 x 12, the medium 12 x 20 and the large 12 x 27 Sportowel. (Again, we are just now shipping the first of the brand new 10 x 10 menopause towel from Thailand, where we manufacture, to the US.) Generally, the small (12 x 12) is really well suited for women. It is large enough to fit over your hand and to provide cooling, but is small enough to be discreet when used and easily carried in a purse. But it may be too small for the female athlete (soccer player or track athlete). The large (12 x 27) is really good sized, but is made more for larger males and/or larger physically active people. I think it is a bit bulky for many females or teenagers.

The medium (12 x 20) towel is just a great compromise. Both are great for participants and for spectators (lasts 3 to 8 hours, over multiple uses)! The medium and large towels have neck loops sewn into the hem of the towel to keep the towel in place when worn around the neck. For most users it easy to shake out the towel to activate the cooling, use it to mop up sweat, cool the face and then wear the towel around the neck where it can continue to be effective by cooling the carotid arteries that run from your heart to your brain along the back of your neck a preferred way to store the
