The mainstay growth engines for Samyang are grouped as chemicals, foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals and new business. Among those businesses, engineering plastics business which belongs to AM BU (Advanced Material Business Unit) is one of main business areas in chemical sector.
As a major engineering plastic producer, we provide PC (Polycarbonate) , PBT, PET/GF, TPEE, and PC compounding products including PC alloys. The annual production capacity is 120, 000 tons for PC, 8, 000 tons for PBT and 40, 000tons for compounding products. We started the engineering plastics business from 1989. The applications of our materials are Electric & Electronics such as LCD TV housing, PC monitors, mobile phones, TFT- LCD frames as well as other electronic home and office appliances. And, we also supply the materials for automotive applications to global auto companies.
