AURONATURE is a non profit organization It is situated in the International Township of Auroville Tamil Nadu and rural south India dedicated to promoting a craft that takes us back to simple and natural way of living Our working area is around Two Thousand sq.mts
Since the inception of AURONATURE in we are giving special trainings to apply already gained experiences and make them available to villages in our area and beyond Mainly it is started in view to providing employment opportunities to villagers around Auroville.
The blend of cold process soap making techniques and handicrafts inspired us to create a new sustainable approach to the whole issue of ecology in soap field and all kind handicrafts
Unit Participants
At present we are 15 employees Fully all are women Two are handicapped No participants of child labour or women exploitation in our unit. All the workers of our unit are from surrounding villages and very poor background and most of them are women whose income is really very essential to run their family

The products manufactured are highly qualified Herbal Handmade Soaps Gift pack soaps Organic handmade soaps Hotel Guest Soaps with aromatherapies in a wide variety of fragrances Incense and all kind of handicrafts The quality of the work is very good to the standard for European market

Purest and highly qualified raw materials or ingredients are used in the manufacture of these products Strict quality control is exercised not only in the selection of raw-materials but in various stages of production as well A lot of care is taken for the storage of the finished products in a clean environment Final packing in master cartons is professionally and carefully done to ensure that the products reach the market in an impeccable condition

In India its products are sold in prestigious boutiques and stores as well as in the general market Auronature is also a very good exporter of various countries in the world We are in need to increase our sales in order to continue our projects and other activities Auronature also provides personalized packaging in many different languages on request
Working Conditions to the Workers
Auronature gives first priority to the workers welfare We provide a clean atmosphere The workers are given fair wages The employees get paid sick leave upto one week The workers are given gifts at the cost of USD50 against their festival. Bonus is given to the workers yearly twice in their religious festivals Deewali and Pongal
Auronature takes care of the employees medical treatment and all worker are affiliated to welfare schemes such as EPF Employees Provident Fund and FPS Family Pension Scheme under these schemes the workers get old age pensio
