Introduce:

Cholayil is amongst Kerala's most famous and respected Ayurvedic families, which has been practicing Ayurveda for generations. Dr. V. P. Sidhan (Chairman) took the traditional family wisdom found in ancient palm leaf manuscripts and enriched it with modern ingredients and production techniques. Thus was born the unique soap - Medimix, which is the flagship brand of Cholayil.

Medimix was launched in 1969 as an Ayurvedic soap with 18 herbs and now Cholayil has become the leading producer of Ayurvedic soaps under Medimix Brand name. Medimix soaps are exported to more than 25 countries across the globe including United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Yemen, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Nepal, Maldives, Mauritius, Egypt, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Lithuania, USA to name a few.

The other two variants are Medimix with Sandal and Eladi oil for clear skin and Medimix with Glycerine and Lakshadi oil for moisturizing the skin. Shortly we are going to launch herbal handwash and shower gel.

Benefit of the Soaps are as follows:

A. Medimix Classic Herbal Soap has 18 herbs know to cleanse skin, remove bad odour, and helps in treatment of pimples. This soap has a coconut oil base which improves complexion.


b. Medimix Glycerine Variant is a bathing bar made with the unique combination of natural ingredients like herbs, natural oils, Lakshadi oil and vegetable glycerine using the traditional knowledge of Ayurveda.

Lakshadi oil is a traditional Ayurvedic oil mentioned in Ayurvedic textbook, Ashtanga Hrudayam. It is used for massage and bath. The ingredients present in the oil also provide moisturizing effect to the skin.


C. Medimix Sandal variant is a Bathing bar made with the unique combination of natural ingredients like herbs, sandal oil and Eladi oil using the traditional knowledge of Ayurveda. Eladi oil is a traditional Ayurvedic oil mentioned in Ayurvedic textbook, Ashtanga Hrudayam. It is useful for skin problems like discolorations, pigmentations and for preventing the toxic bad effects on the skin. The regular use of Eladi oil improves complexion and gives good skin texture thereby helping in maintaining the skin trouble free.
