Arabica & Robusta Coffee

The two broad general categories of coffee beans are Arabica & Robusta. Robusta is grown on the lowlands and is predominantly for the manufacture of instant coffee due to its low price. It is dark, bitter, lacks flavour, tasteless with no aroma. It is commonly known in USA as brewed American Coffee.

Arabica is grown in high altitudes, resulting in much higher quality coffee with aroma and taste. Destined for the European markets of Switzerland, Germany, France and Italy for espresso, cappuccino and latte. Recently due to ever increasing numbers of speciality coffee shops throughout the world, compounded with ever growing worldwide demand for high quality coffee has resulted in shortages, as there is not adequate production of Arabica in the world. Now, coffee as a commodity is trading at an all time record high, like gold.

HiLands Coffee Beans

HiLands Coffee beans are grown in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. Coffees from Papua New Guinea are sweet and floral. Original seedlings were from Jamaican Blue Mountains planted in 1927.

Our green coffee beans are single origin Arabica beans from the highlands of Papua New Guinea and roasted in Queensland, Australia. All our coffee are roasted to perfection and colour matched for consistency. The benefit of this each batch order will be the same as the next cafes and customers insist on this for flavour and taste.

Experience
We have experience on our team in coffee business. One of our consultants has been coffee trader for more than 30 years. He also worked and managed in Papua New Guinea coffee industry.

Capacity
Our capacity is 10 tonnes per week (10,000 kg) on normal shift, however if 20 or 40 foot containers are required we can accommodate this too.

Packaging
Packaging will be 10kg packs with plain packaging so the buyer can put their own logo or brand. We can brand it for them in smaller packs at an additional cost. The stock will be supplied as roasted beans and customers can grind and repackage.
