Introduce:

The winery was founded July 15, 1997 with the legal name of Weil Winery but was better known as with by its trade name Notre Dame Winery. The Weil Winery was purchased in 2006 and renamed Auk Island Enterprises with trade name Auk Island Winery. The name Auk Island was chosen to harness the tourism marketing and historical equity of the Great Auk, a seabird that went extinct in 1844. The Great Auk was the only flightless bird in the Northern Hemisphere and the original penguin. It was prevalent around Funk Island and the Notre Dame Area.

The winery currently has 24 varieties of Berry , Berry Blends , Berry and Grape Blend Wines. The Winery also makes several wines using Iceberg Water which is harvested right at our door step.

We have 6 wines available for export which are named Moose Joose, Krooked Cod , Jellybean Row , Funky Puffin, Iceberg Blueberry and Iceberg Raspberry.
