The technological achievements that Koei Chemical has recorded over the last 80 years represent the tangible fruits of its deep commitment to research & development. We have been a forerunner in developing unique technologies in the fields of our business, and they have always received high acceptance from the industry.
Examples of our success include the development of polyhydric alcohols in 1950's and amines and pyridines in 1960's as well as pyrazines and intermediates for pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals in 1980's which utilize highly advanced technologies.

We are, as it were, a pioneer in these industrial areas and leading the industry even today in many ways. Among others, our activities in the development of intermediates for next generation drugs for ulcer, bacterial infection, tuberculosis, etc. Have been attracting much attention globally and highly recognized also by the academia for the technological excellence.

Particularly, we focus our research efforts on the synthesis of optically active substances which are indispensable for pharmaceuticals.
