Some foreign buyers who did their first orders in Vietnam encountered some of the following problems:
1. They deal with small trading companies not directly with the producers. The drawbacks are: the price is 3-4USD higher than the real quotation from the producers. Since these trading companies have no quarries, they have to collect from small suppliers which in turn makes their products is nothing more than a mixture of products from different suppliers. For all these cases, the supply capacity is very limited.
2. Some deals directly with direct producers, but unreliable ones. These producers are normally small and agriculture-business minded. They make fake promises about their supply capacity and low quality supply. We have witnessed some companies spent half a year to get just 1 container from their 50containers order for that half of the year.
